The ASM SIPLACE S-type feeder is a legacy electromechanical feeder series designed for older generations of SIPLACE pick-and-place machines, such as the S, HS, F, and C series. While newer machines use the X-type "Smart" feeders.

Key Technical Differences
Unlike the current X-type series, S-type feeders rely on physical pins for power and data communication rather than contactless induction.
Physical Interface: Uses a gold-plated connector at the back that requires periodic cleaning to prevent communication errors.
Machine Compatibility: Primarily used on Siemens HS-50, S-20/27, and F-series machines. They can often be used on newer machines only with specific adapter carts or older changeover tables.
Durability: Known for "durable metal construction," making them ideal for heavy industrial use even decades after their initial release.
